In the movie it depicts how woman are treated differently then men are. I agree with this. Since I started my career as a music producer I noticed how it is a male dominated career and I have to work harder to prove to the men that I belong and I can work just as hard as they can. Luckly I have met some men in the field that welcome me and show me how to do things because I am a woman trying to do a man's job.
No matter what woman do they are based on their appearance more then their brain. In the beginning of the film there was a news cast about Sarah Palin on all they were focusing on was if she had breast surgery. Commercials usually only focus on a woman's body and nothing else. It seems now commercials become more sexy so that there are more male viewers. Because of the media teenagers begin to not love their bodies. "53% of 13 year old girls are unhappy with their bodies. That number increases to 78% by age 17." Because of media and magazines showing skinny girls with no flaws, teenage girls want to feel that pretty and try to achieve that and sometimes not in a healthy way. Some start to develop and eating disorder to get that body that is 'perfect.' What girls don't know is that the woman in those magazine ads are airbrushed to look that way. And young girls strive to be something that is humanly impossible.
I love that there is a program to help woman look up to people that are important and not ones that become famous for showing their boobs. My role models are Tina Fey because she is such a strong and smart woman. She is a female screenwriter and she is also a comedian. Another role model is Emma Watson because she isn't the typical actress that has to flaunt what she has to get movies. She gets movies because of how talented she is as a person.
